Glamping at Paradise Point
Can you imagine waking up in a spacious, safari style tent set on a platform in the woods where all you can see are gigantic trees all around you? There are no sounds other than the birds, squirrels, and busy tree frogs and cicadas in the summer.
This is no ordinary tent in the woods.
This place has been designed and built to be a haven where you can immediately feel at home. The tent has a king bed, twin day bed with twin trundle, comfortably sleeping four. There is a flushing toilet, a private shower with plenty of hot water under a massive oak tree, and a fully stocked, screened in “summer kitchen”!
In this very unique camping location (it feels more like a tree house than a tent), you get to chose which theme you would like for your time away! Your glamping experience will be personally curated just for you!

This tent has been prepared for your arrival both practically and in prayer. It is warm and cosy in the fall months and a perfect place to retreat and relax in front of the fire. During the summer, you can eat on the deck, rest in the hammock during the heat of the day and sit around the fire-pit in the evening.
What is even more special about this tent is that it is safely tucked in the almost 8 acres of woods on our Paradise Point property. You can sleep peacefully at night knowing that you are resting securely, with company nearby even though you can barely see the Johnson home. And in the day you can hike on the property and visit the little stream just a few minutes walk away.

The tent has everything you need for a restful few days away. You are camping, but there are touches of luxury to make camping more fun. Lyn provides plenty of coffee and tea that you can enjoy on the deck as you look out over the forest. The screened in kitchen/dining area under the tent platform is all set for you to prepare your own meals. It has a fridge, two burner gas stove, microwave and toaster so you can prepare your own food or warm up take-out food that you can purchase from one of our excellent Southern eateries. We encourage you to treat yourself by also dining at one of Chattanooga’s excellent restaurants.
The platform on which the tent sits is one of the most special parts of the camp. The live edge hand rails around the deck were made by Brett Johnson from wood off the property. The front of the platform sits 17 foot above the ground, and the view is out into the trees. The luxurious wicker furniture invites you to spend time relaxing on the deck enjoying the view of the majestic trees.
One of the most special parts of the Paradise Point Glamping site it the outside shower. The shower head is attached to the giant oak next to the tent. While you enjoy a hot shower, take time to look up into the branches of the massive tree. The flushing toilet is right outside the back of the tent, so it is easy to access at night, and it has hot water in the quaint little basin so you can wash your face there, or use the outside sink if you want to enjoy the view for just a few minutes longer.
Our glamping site has:
A tent that is 16x21 feet with a peaked roof and almost 6 foot walls so you will be able to stand up comfortably
A private toilet/outhouse with flushing toilet that can be accessed from the deck and is just behind the tent
An outside shower (with lots of hot water) so you can enjoy the view of the trees
A luxurious king size bed
A twin daybed
Twin trundle bed under the daybed
Linens and towels provided
Coffee and tea station and small fridge inside the tent
A screened in “summer kitchen” with a fridge, two burner gas stove, microwave, toaster and tea kettle.
Outside table and chairs on the deck
A fire pit with a grill so you can cook outside
Hammocks in the trees, so plan to relax

This glamping vacation is one that will be tailored to you personally. You choose which curated experience you would like, and you will step into a camping trip unlike anything that you have ever had in the past. I, Lyn, am super excited about inviting you into a creative, welcoming and unique space where you can relish the exquisite nature and also the small touches of beauty and creativity. Please remember that this is CAMPING and you are not going to a hotel, so you will see bugs around the tent.
