Paradise Meadows Farmhouse

We are so excited that after more than a year of a big re-building project, our Paradise Meadows Farmhouse is ready to take bookings!! Book to come and stay in our spacious, 3 bedroom .

Our charming 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom farmhouse will be a perfect place for a family or group of friends to spend a few days or even a short-term stay. The greatroom is the perfect space to gather as you relax in our comfortable chairs while looking out of the many windows at the adjacent farm and woods. Our tiny house is on the adjacent property and our glamping tent just a 5 minute walk away, so guests can book all our unique properties if they want to bring a group. The 100 year old yellow and blue homestead is currently being used by my husband Brett as a barn and storage place, and who knows what it may be in the future. The fire pit for the farmhouse is in the middle of a very large field surrounded by massive trees. Book to come and stay!

The greatroom at Paradise Meadows is the true heart of the farmhouse. This is where you can truly relax as you stretch out on the large sofas and wrap yourself in one of the many cozy blankets. Take time to read, or page through one of the beautiful coffee table books for inspiration. Use the art table in the corner and color a Scandinavian design (please post a photo of yourself with your artwork and tag us.) The large ottoman in the corner is positioned in the perfect spot to catch the sun while looking towards the farm. Maybe one of the friendly cows may even be at the fence to greet you.

The vintage pine table (I drove all the way to Alabama to pick this up) is ready to be set for an elegant or casual meal. I love decorating the table and have shared many lovely dishes and place setting with you, so please have fun. The Dutch folk art cups are just for display as they belonged to my late parents and are very, very special to me.

Our kitchen is a blend of “ye old world” charm with a vintage, pine dresser from Europe and all the modern conveniences. The French doors open onto the porch where you can sit to drink your morning coffee overlooking the meadow and the farm (and our tiny house on the other side of the meadow.) We have a refrigerator, gas range, microwave, toaster, tea kettle, coffee machine and every pot and dish you could imagine! We will provide a selections of teas and a limited amount of coffee. Big coffee drinkers please bring your own blend.

Our three bedrooms are decorated around a color scheme that was chosen based on significant items I wanted to highlight and honor. The en-suite bedroom is in muted pinks and blues and is based on a beautiful, large, handmade quilt that was on my late parents’ bed for decades. It holds such special memories for me. Paintings inherited from my mom and dad are in the yellow bedroom (they are original works by one of my mom’s close friends) and art prints Brett and I received for our wedding over 44 years ago anchored the peach bedroom. I have also hung original art by one of my best friends, Ruthie Korch (Ruthkorch.com) in that room. I have added other whimsical finds in each room and small chairs for young guests are waiting with children’s books close at hand.

Our two bathroom are spacious and have unique features. Our en-suite shower has two shower heads and both bathrooms have solid brass fixtures made on special order in Marakesh, Morocco and shipped to Signal Mountain, Tennessee! The family bathroom has a shower/bathtub and a washer and dryer so doubles as the laundry.

Small touches of beauty and whimsy add character to a home, don’t you think? This home showcases a vintage sewing machine, my grandmother’s cutlery holder, a hand-painted tray that my mom gave to me many years ago, decorated clogs, and many more precious, memory laden objects. Come and stay for a few days and read the stories behind the unique pieces .
