Paradise Meadows Spring Retreat
You are invited to join me (Lyn Johnson)and a small group of women for our inaugural Paradise Meadows Spring Retreat!
The purpose of the Spring Retreat is to provide:
a “prepared place” where women can be surrounded by beauty, order and creativity.
a “set apart” time to slow down, relax and be refreshed.
a community of like-minded women who will listen, share and pray.
Storytime when I (Lyn) and others will impart hope and encouragement.
This is a retreat, not a class or conference. It has been designed to encourage you to really slow down and give yourself the gift of silence.
Mr Rogers, when being interviewed by Charlie Rose said, “I am very concerned that our society is much more interested in information, than wonder, in noise rather than silence”. He asked, “How do we encourage reflection?”
I trust this weekend will give us opportunity to step into peace as we allow our hearts to enjoy the beauty and quiet at Paradise Meadows.
For these three days, you won’t have to plan, cook, clean or even think about what needs to be done next. All you’ll need to decide is where you’ll snuggle up with your tea to read and journal for the next couple of hours!
This will be the perfect opportunity to get rested and refreshed after the busy first quarter of the year.
Where will the Retreat be?
We will gather at our property in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, just 30 minutes out of Chattanooga. We will host this weekend in our newly remodeled (more like re-built) Scandinavian style Farmhouse that sits on two acres of meadows and trees, adjacent to a 40 acre farm.
Meals will be served at the Farmhouse and also in our own home, a five minute walk away.
Eleven women can be accommodated (two per room) in our adorable, retro Tiny House, the art-filled bedrooms of our Farmhouse and in our glamping tent. Guests who register first will be able to select their choice of accommodation.
