Heartistry Weekend in Tennessee
August 28-30, 2026
Men and women from many nations have enjoyed Lyn’s creative retreats focussed around hospitality and generous living: from Hawaii to Cape Town to the South of France… and in the woods of Tennessee!
You are invited to join me, Lyn Johnson, for a Paradise Meadows Heartistry Weekend!
The Heartistry Weekend:
Learn Foundational truths and practical skills to create a welcoming home.
Experience a “prepared place” surrounded by beauty, order and creativity.
Enjoy a “set apart” time to slow down, relax and be refreshed.
Find a community of like-minded “welcomers” who will listen, share and discover together how to implement these truths.
Alumni are welcome to come for fellowship and a refresher!
Where will the Retreat be?
Our guests are invited to gather at our Paradise Meadows property in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, just 30 minutes from Chattanooga. Our Scandinavian style Farmhouse sits on two acres of meadows and woods, adjacent to a 40 acre farm and is a perfect place to relax. Meals will be served at the Farmhouse and also in our own home, a five minute walk away.
Accommodation is provided in our adorable, retro Tiny House, the art-filled bedrooms of our Farmhouse and in our glamping tent. Guests who register first will be able to select their choice of accommodation.
What recent attendees said:
This is a transformative weekend . Lyn shares the heart of hospitality with so much love and passion. You will leave with your vision expanded and practical tips to implement right away.
Lyn leads an amazing journey through the often neglected and overlooked art of hospitality. It would be easy to feel guilty or intimidated on this topic, but instead I felt inspired and informed in very artful and practical ways. I loved the Scriptural foundations, thoughtful questions, inspiring stories and the amazing opportunity to dialogue with others.
I've been to many retreats and conferences in my life, but have never heard the teachings that we received at Heartistry.
I felt God's presence and left rested, welcomed.
Come with an open heart, and you will walk away with joy, gratitude, restfulness, imagination and vision.
An amazing way to learn and be lavished upon by God.
An intimate, rich experience, mixing valuable teachings with making new friends with God at the center.
A beautiful experience learning from Lyn and others about God’s heart of/for hospitality.
So grateful for this time of enjoying the Lord’s hospitality to me through the thoughtful place, people, and time to be in His presence. I can’t wait to implement and share what I’ve learned.
Heartistry has illuminated the generous heart of our Father toward me and stood as an invitation to join Him in this joyful work of extravagant blessing.

Lyn has practiced hospitality since she and her twin sister, Michelle, filled their parents’ home with many teen friends. Lyn makes it known that she doesn't like to cook, yet over her 46 years of marriage Lyn and her family have hosted countless people for cups of tea, home cooked meals and as staying guests (some who have come for a short visit and then stayed for years!)
Lyn leads a busy life. For 21 years, she led a direct sales business with a team of over 1,800 women. Now she manages unique properties that are available for rent, while partnering with her husband, Brett, in their business, The Institute. She loves to inspire others to integrate hospitality into the everyday, even when life is full through her business Heartistry.
Lyn has been teaching on Hospitality for over 45 years both locally and internationally, and has much wisdom and many practical ideas to share. She has led 6 week-long Heartistry Experiences in the South of France and one in Cape Town. She candidly shares her own story with humor and passion, laced with many helpful tips to inspire us to “bless not impress” as we open our hearts and homes.
